Where can I find a genuine mercedes benz cd changer for a 1997 C-230 which has pre wired cd controls?

I don't want USA SPEC SCD-A88iM to be installed to it as it is not a genuine one.


I just want to know a place to find a genuine Mercedes benz cd changer that will work on the 1997 C-230.





Also will a fiber optic cd changer will work on the above car?

Mercedes dealers can still get the one that works with the factory radio but they are expensive. The part number is A-002-820-59-89.


Great alternative is one that crutchfield sells, it's half the price and works with the factory headunit.

Fiber optic D2B changers will not work in a 97', it doesn't have the wiring. That didn't start in the USA market C class until 1999

I read again and see you already explored the crutchfield changer.


Please feel confident that the MB OEM part# I provided is correct. If the dealer tells you it is not available , they are checking A-002-820-58-89 which was the original but the # I gave you is interchangeable with it.
