Target sells the cubes for $12.99. Sign stores sell the coroplast needed to make the tray. That's about $16 for a 4' by 8' sheet. Check phone listings for local stores and call first to see if they have it for sale. Some people have found that Lowe's and/or Home Depot carry the coroplast, but not all stores. If you can't get the coroplast, you can make the base using linoleum. Ideas and instructions can be found at:

If you buy the cubes online, or even the cage you'll usually pay a ridiculous price for the shipping.
Reply:Cubes can be found at Target, Wal-Mart, or Ikea. Some home stores like Lowe's or Home Depot sell coroplast but not always. Sign stores are the best place to go for the coroplast. In addition to cubes and coroplast you'll need packing tape, scissors, zip ties, and a razor blade. And don't forget things the piggies need like bedding, water bottle, food and dish, timothy hay, and toys. Good luck!

PS, don't buy offline. It's convenient but is really expensive. Materials should cost no more that $50. Buying on the computer charges that much for coroplast and another $50 for shipping, then cubes and zip ties. It's a bit more time consuming but cheaper to just search the stores.

They've got detailed instructions as well as prefabricated cages available for purchase if you get stuck.

Good luck with your new pets!
