How do I find all the prefferred stock issued by a company such as c for citigroup?

i acn get c on yahoo but cant get thye preffereds as i do not know the symbols

please try to answer me at allane11@yahoo.com

thank you

How do I find all the prefferred stock issued by a company such as c for citigroup?
A great web site for this is quantumonline.com.

Another thing to remember is that the symbols are web site dependent. I used to own some Morgan Stanley prefered with a ticker of MSJ. This one is no problem; its the same everywhere.

However, I also have some Bear Stearns prefered issue X. On Quantum it is BSC-X. On E*Trade it is BSC.PR.X. On Yahoo it is BSC-PX. So you can see that the BSC is always the same and the X is always the same, but the stuff in between changes.
Reply:You can visit http://stocks.advisorinternet.info for some useful tips and info related to your query. Good luck!

Has anyone heard of the artist C. Charleston? Where would I look to find thids info?

I have a beautiful painting by this artist a lighthouse in the mist . I would likje to find out something about this artist.

Has anyone heard of the artist C. Charleston? Where would I look to find thids info?
You can do a search on this artist website: www.absolutearts.com or it's sister site, World Wide Art Resources.

Enter whatever information you have-- artist name, medium, subject matter, location, etc. and see what comes up. If the artist happens to be dead, you might get some hits from dealers or galleries that handle the estate of the artist. Dealers can be very useful in finding out information, value and what a realistic market might be for that artist's work. Good luck, hope this helped.

Find the values of K for which the equation 2x^2+3kx+9=0 has: a) No solution b)one solution c)two solutions?

Can you please show how you worked it out or explain it a little bit.

Find the values of K for which the equation 2x^2+3kx+9=0 has: a) No solution b)one solution c)two solutions?
Since the discriminant of the quadratic formula determines the Nature of roots. we can use it to solve for the value of k

If b² - 4ac %26gt; 0 two solutions

If b² - 4ac = 0 one solution

If b² - 4ac %26lt; 0 no solution

a = 2 b = 3k c = 9

(3k)² - 4(2)(9) = 0

9k² - 72 = 0

9k² = 72

k² = 8

k = 2√2

when k = 2√2 it has only one solution

k %26lt; -2√2 or k %26gt; 2√2 ---------------- 2 solutions

-2√2 %26lt; k %26lt; 2√2 --------- no solutions
Reply:check determinant

9k^2-72=0 for 1 soln

k=+-sqrt8

9k^2-72%26gt;0 for 2 soln

k^2%26gt;8

k%26gt;sqrt8 or k%26lt;-sqrt8

for no soln, -sqrt8%26lt;k%26lt;sqrt8

Write a program to find the smallest and largest element in a given array in c language?

Write a program to find the smallest and largest element in a given array in c language?
I won't write the code for you, but I'll get you started. First of all, you will have to go through the entire array. So the way I'd find the smallest element in the array would be to assign the very first value as the "smallest," then compare this value with each element in the array. If you come across a smaller value, assign that value to be "smallest" variable and continue through the array. In the end the value in the "smallest" variable actually will be the smallest. Finding the largest element in the array would essentially be the same.

Where could i find somewhere cheap to recharge my a/c in Tempe Az?
Depending on the year/model of your car, you can go to autozone or oreilly and pick up a recharge for about $12 and do it yourself.

There is usually a bleed valve inline with the coolant tubing (metal) where you can hook up one of these bottles.

They even have built in gauges to read the amount you have in their already!!

How do i find out if my video card needs to be upgraded or not on my p.c.?

If it works well for you, there is no need to upgrade. If you've purchased new, demanding software and video output is slow or distorted, then you may want to upgrade.

How do i find out if my video card needs to be upgraded or not on my p.c.?
How old is it? If it's more than a year old it probably needs to be upgraded.
Reply:Well what kind of video card do you have. That is a hard question to answer. Typically a system has to be able to work together correctly. In other words just because you have a great video card does not mean you are going to have a fast computer. Your computer cans still be slow depending upon your CPU speed and ram. There are other factors that will determine the speed of your computer. For a beginner like you I recommend downloading a program like tunup utilities and it will give you advice

Four weights a+b+c+d=40 kg, find (a,b,c,d) that can weight any object from 1 to 40kg?

a,b,c,d, are four weights that can weight any object from 1 to 40 kgs on an old hand balance

Four weights a+b+c+d=40 kg, find (a,b,c,d) that can weight any object from 1 to 40kg?
Think of this as expressing a number from 1 to 40 in base 3. If you choose the weights to be 1, 3, 9, 27 then you can weigh anything from 1 to 40 by choosing which weights to use (1 + 3 + 9 + 27 = 40). You can put weights ether side to 'subtract' from the value you are trying to form.

So, for example, 11 = 102 base 3. You put the 9 and the three on one side, and the one on the other side 9 + 3 -1 = 11

23 = 212 base 3. So you put the 27 on one side and the 1 and 3 on the other. 27 - 3 - 1 = 23.
Reply:a=32

b=3

c=4

d=1
Reply:This is an old puzzle. Weights of 1, 3, 9, and 27 do it. If something has weight 2, it and the 1 lb, weight will balance the 3 lb, weight. For weight 4, the 3 and the 1 in the other pan will do it. For weight 5, it, the 3, and the 1 will balance the 9. And so on all the way up to 40.

Weights 1, 3, 9, 27, and 81 will go all the way to 121!

In a right triangle with sides of lenght and b and a hypoteneuse of lenght c, find the exact value of a if b?

equals 2 square root 5 and c equals 9.

In a right triangle with sides of lenght and b and a hypoteneuse of lenght c, find the exact value of a if b?
a^2 = 9^2 - [2sqrt(5)]^2 = 81 - 20 = 61

a = sqrt(61)
Reply:a^2+b^2=c^2

a^2 = c^2 - b^2

Plug in b and c, simplify, and that is a^2. Take the square root of both sides and that will give you a.
Reply:Pythagorean theorem states that a2 + b2 = c2. (Sorry, those are squares, not times 2's) So, you simply plug in the values of b and c.

a(a) + (2 square roots of 5)squared = (9)(9)

(a)(a) + (4)(5) = (9)(9)

I leave the rest to you.

All you need to do is create placeholders that store "the smallest so far" and "the largest so far", which are of course going to be the same type as your array (probably 'int').

Initialize the "smallest_so_far" to the largest possible number (surprise, there's a macro for that! it's called "INT_MAX"), and initialize the "largest_so_far" variable to the smallest possible number (can you guess to what? That's right -- "INT_MIN").

Then, just iterate through your array (from index 0 to index n-1, where n is the number of elements in your array), and for each number, ask "is this number less than smallest_so_far? if so, smallest_so_far is now equal to this number" and do the same for the largest (except, of course, your comparison will be the opposite).

How do you figure out how many elements are in your array?

It's a classic, watch:

int my_array[] = { 1, 7, 37, 2, 14, 59 };

int my_array_item_count = sizeof(my_array) / sizeof(my_array[0]);

See what's happening there? You are dividing the total size of the array (always in octets, sometimes called "bytes") by the size of the first item (it doesn't have to be the first, but every array starts with the first, so why not?) to get the number of items, even though we didn't know off-hand -- the compiler calculates it for us! (and there's not runtime cost in this case, because the compiler has all the info it needs at hand when compiling).

Any online support groups with info for work comp injured workers? How to find atty, and sacroilitis, and I.C.

I need to find a good lawyer, and when I'm not on pain meds I search online, but can't really find any legit sites, and I hear all sorts of different info. The attys I did speak with either say they 'don't really do that', though listed under it, or just blow me off.

Can anyone give me some places with info on what to expect, how it works, optionsm, how it ends, and real people talking about their experiences. Any tips are appreciated. I'm so confused.

I have so many questions. How does voc. rehab work? Do you get to choose any career to retrain for, and do they pay you?

Also, if anyone is familiar with chronic sacroiliac dysfunction or sacroilitis, that led to intersticial cystitis, I would love to know of messageboards and people's experiences. I've changed Drs and manual PT's, but it doesn't help much. I've heard sometimes these conditions don't improve. Are they just managed forever?

I'd really like to know what top centers in the U.S. treat SI joint problems.

Find constants A,B,C such that the function y=Ax^2+Bx+C satisfies the equation y"+y'-2y=x^2?

Can someone help me with this and show the steps please.

Find constants A,B, and C such that the function y=Ax^2+Bx+C satisfies the equation y"+y'-2y=x^2

Find constants A,B,C such that the function y=Ax^2+Bx+C satisfies the equation y"+y'-2y=x^2?
You have:

y=Ax^2+Bx+C

y'=2Ax+B

y"=2A

replacing this values in y"+y'-2y=x^2 and simplifying

-2Ax^2+(2A-2B)x+(2A+B-2C) = x^2

this give us the system

-2A=1

2A-2B=0

2A+B-2C=0

solve the system and replace in y and verify if y"+y'-2y=x^2 is satisfied.

I need to find out if the A/C repairman that worked on my air conditioner is knowledgable or not?

As a professional in this industry for 20 plus years, union trained, it pains me to know the amount of dishonesty in this business. Here is the answer: Your refrigeration cycle works on the principal of changing the state of matter (refrigerant) from a gas to a liquid to a gas and so on, that is why the outside unit is called the condenser and the inside unit is called the evaporator. With this in mind, Your unit should achieve 12-15degrees of SUBCOOLING on the condenser side and 10-18 degrees of SUPERHEAT on the evaporator side. Simply ask what should my subcooling be and superheat be. These are basic refrigeration principles and any repairman worth his salt could answer these questions (within a few degrees) off the top of his head quickly and confidently. There are a few old timers that are good repairmen that wouldn't be able to answer these questions but they would probably be to old to do any substantial work. Good luck in your quest to find a good and trustworthy ac man, there are a few of us out there!

I need to find out if the A/C repairman that worked on my air conditioner is knowledgable or not?
What do you need to know. Ask him to explain how the A/C cycle works. You can find that information at http://www.warmair.com/ they compare his answers. In order to troubleshoot a problem, a technician needs to understand how it works. This applies to any field.
Reply:It's normally a better idea to find this out before you allow someone to do the work! You can check with state licensing board to see if he is licensed, assuming you live in a state that licenses contractors! If you find out either positive or negative results this way however, I'm not sure you can legally do anything though! Always check on licenses and insurance before you allow any work on your home from now on!
Reply:Most all licensed and certified a/c echnicians are knowledgeble about the products. Some are more knowledgeable than others, depending on their yers of expeerience.

We dont know what he did OR why you are questioning him/her.

Find the F and C intercepts of the line described in this equation?

To change the temprature from degrees Fahrenheit to degrees celsius, use formula:

c=5/9(F-32).

I need to find the F and C intercepts. I would like someone to show me how to do this.

Thanks a bunch :)

Cristy

Find the F and C intercepts of the line described in this equation?
1. Find the "C" intercept. First: replace "0" with the "F" variable %26gt;

C = 5/9(0 - 32)

Sec: multiply the numerators %26gt;

C = (5/9)(-32)

C = -160/9

2. Find the "F" intercept. First: replace "0" with the "C" variable %26gt;

0 = 5/9(F - 32)

Sec: use distribution %26gt; multiply 5/9 with both terms in the parenthesis %26gt;

0 = (5/9)F - (5/9)(32)

0 = (5/9)F - 160/9

Third: eliminate fractions %26gt; multiply the denominator by everything and cancel "like" terms %26gt;

9(0) = (9)(5/9)F - 9(160/9)

0 = 5F - 160

*Add 160 to both sides %26gt;

0 + 160 = 5F - 160 + 160

160 = 5F

*Solve for "F" by isolating it %26gt; divide both sides by 5 %26gt;

160/5 = 5F/5

32 = F

F = 32
Reply:c=5/9(f-32)

to find the f intercept, set c=0

0=5/9 (f-32) divide by 5/9

0=f-32 add 32 to each side

f=32

to find the c intercept set f=0

c=5/9(0-32)=-5*32/9=-160/9=-17.77....
Reply:At c = 0, you get F-intercept = 32.

At F = 0, you get c-intercept = -160/9

F = 9c/5 + 32
Reply:to find the intercepts you just set the other variable to zero

i.e. to find the F intercept, set c=0 then solve for F

0=5/9(F-32) --%26gt; 9/5=(F-32) -----%26gt; F=(9/5)+32 ---%26gt;

F=169/5 or about 33.8

just do the same for c
Reply:The F and C intercepts are just like the x and y intercepts.

The C-intercept is the value of C where F = 0:

C = 5/9(0 - 32) = -160/9 = -17 7/9 degrees Celsius.

The F-intercept is the value of F where C = 0:

0 = 5/9(F - 32)

Multiply both sides by 9/5:

0 = F - 32

F = 32 degrees Fahrenheit (of course!)
Reply:When F=0, C = (5/9)(-32) = -17 7/9

When C = 0,

0 = (5/9)(F-32)

0 = F - 32

32 = F ....... by definition, in F system water freezes at 32, in C system, at 0.
Reply:for F intercept putC=0

0=(5/9)(F-32)

multiplying by (9/5)

0=F-32

adding 32

F=32

for C intercept put F=0

C=(5/9)(-32)

C=-160/9
Reply:I think you want to find the temperature at which F is equal to C so just set C = F and solve the equation F = 5/9(F -32) this will give the temperature at which they are equal. I will give you a hint. It is very cold.
Reply:c=5/9(f-32) *9

9c=5(f-32)

9c=5f-160 by arrange the equation

5f-9c=160 /160

f/32+c/(-160/9)=1

then f_intercept is 32 %26amp;c_intercept is -160/9

What is the optium way to find the middle node in a single linked list using C?

There are two ways

Method 1

1- Iterate through the link list to find the number of nodes in it (say n)

2- Start from the root of the list and travel as far as n/2

The other method is a bit tricky

Method 2

1- Start with two pointers both pointing to root

2- Now make one traverse the link list one node at a time

3- Make the other traverse the link list 2 nodes at a time

At the time, the 2nd pointer reaches the end, the 1st pointer would only have reached the mid

The 1st method is optimized for memory and the 2nd one for concurrent traversal and speed

The previous answer is incorrect. This is not a search problem. Its a traversal problem. Also a linear singly linked list cant be "binary search"-ed. You need to form a "skip list" to do that!

What is the optium way to find the middle node in a single linked list using C?
you should use binary search. if you don't know how to do binary search mail me at shantanubasu123@yahoo.com

the subject must be binary search.

____________

What idiot gave my response a bad rating? wtf moron!? o.O

________

Understand what I'm saying ppl. The OP's question is a generalization. Not all woman find it offensive. And there is no exact formula to why, but I it is generally a mixture of how it is said, the intent, and how that specific lady feels about that sorta thing.
Reply:I've never heard is used wisely, my dear. If I called you a d1ckhead, it's just a word - right? See what I mean? It might be just a word, but it has a rather nasty meaning, doesn't it?

There isn't any reason to use the Hard C. It's not just a word. It's slang, technically; and it's an insult.

http://www.reference.com/search?q=****
Reply:Sometimes it's not the word itself. It's more about the context in which it is used. Even within your question it is given a negative connotation. So I guess this is one of those times when the answer is in the question.
Reply:Really? Most girls I know find snatch more offensive in reference to body parts. C*n* is used a lot in different contexts. I'm c*n*ed (drunk too quick), she's a c*n* (arrogant b*tch), he's a good c*n* (mate), dumb c*n* (politico), weepy c*n* (Christiano Ronaldo), etc...
Reply:Which word?

Can't or C*nt?

In the case of the first, I can do anything except impregnate another woman (doesn't mean I won't at least try first O.o). And ummm....a friend of mine uses the second word alot--what's the problem with it?
Reply:I just saw the movie P2. The female star took all kinds of abuse from a serial killer. But what set her off was him calling her a c*n*. She went off when he said that and she killed him!

Why did that of all things do the trick?
Reply:It's not meant as a compliment. It's the most vile thing a woman can be called. It's not "just a word." It's meant as an insult.
Reply:The way it is commonly used makes it a filthy word. Anyone call me that and I'm going to knock them on their butt and I'm 63 years old.
Reply:It is harsh. No respectable woman would use it or remain around a man who used it. Men that do say it are never being compimentary.
Reply:i am a woman and i dont see a problem with it. and i admit to using it when i get really fired up.
Reply:Im a man and I find it derogatory. Makes me think of those gross-out pictures of VD infected private areas that the show you in health class...ew.
Reply:It's probably how and when it's used rather than the word itself.
Reply:It's just as bad as the B word. I don't care how you use it, it's still derogatory.
Reply:Well I never knew a c*n* was work. But I suppose one may be very hard to get along with.
Reply:Words are like bullets, and bullets can be dodged.
Reply:Because that's how people use it.
Reply:yup, just like prick, pencil-dick, and dick-head - just words.

Find the value of a, b, and c such that f(x) = ax3 + bx2 +cx see details?

Find the value of a, b, and c such that f(x) = ax3 + bx2 +cx has a minimum point at (1,-7) and a maximum point at (-2,20).

Find the value of a, b, and c such that f(x) = ax3 + bx2 +cx see details?
f ' (x)= 3ax^2+2bx+c

if (1,-7) is minimum point then

f ' (1)=0

and

f(1)=-7

f'(1)=3a+2b+c=0

a+b+c=-7

idem for (-2,20)

f'(-2)=12a+4b-c=0

f(-2)=-8a+4b-2c=20

you have a system of equation solve it and compute a,b,c.

Anyone know of any websites where I can find How to write a letter to a judge to request a hearing to modify c

childsupport payments?

Anyone know of any websites where I can find How to write a letter to a judge to request a hearing to modify c
That isn't how it works. You're going to need to retain an attorney to file the appropriate papers. You don't just "send a letter to the judge", you have to formally petition the court, which may involve filing a lawsuit. Exactly what kind of plea you need to file is going to depend on both your circumstances and jurisdiction.

Get a lawyer.
Reply:NO all you are going to do is piss a judge off an get put in jail pay your child support you made them so take care of them
Reply:You don't need to write a letter; you need to file a motion (if a case, such a divorce, is pending) or a complaint (which is to say a new lawsuit, if no case is pending). If you go to the court where child support was initially ordered, you can find blank forms there. You will need to notify the other party, of course, and the court will schedule a hearing for you after you file the motion. (Give the original to the court, mail a copy to the other person, and keep a copy for yourself).

As always, you should call an attorney for legal advice. However, courts do typically have blank forms so you can probably do some or all of this yourself if you cannot afford a lawyer.
Reply:IN NYC YOU JUST GO BACK TO FAMILY COURT AND FILE A PETITION. YOU FILL OUT A FORM, YOU SEE A JUDGE, YOUR'E ISSUED PAPERS TO SERVE ON THE CHILDS MOTHER, AND YOU SHOW UP ON THE PRESCRIBED COURT DATE TO PLEAD YOUR CASE.
Reply:The above advice is pretty much correct. You can write the letter, but it will go straight in the trash can because you haven't properly followed what is called "Civil Procedure". You need to see an attorney. Your attorney will take care of all of those procedural issues.
Reply:All of the above.

Judges have someone screen their mail. They will never see your letter. You would be asking them to act "ex parte", meaning without giving the other side a chance to be heard. That's why you have to do it the right way.

When i start windows i get this error message can not find c:/windows/temp/Laun/Laun.js ), How can i fix this?
Some kind of Launcher program. You can safely delete the contents of you C:\Windows\Temp folder.

Then, go to Start-%26gt;Run-%26gt;msconfig%26lt;enter%26gt;, click the 'Startup' tab and un-check all items except systray.exe

Click apply, reboot your computer.
Reply:Definitely safe to clean. The .JS extension is Java script, a language used in web programming/Internet plugins. These are extras that are sometimes installed un-knowingly, and usually bog-down a computer system. Report It

Reply:is your computer turning on or does it freeze in mid start up?
Reply:I wish I could help, but it sounds like a serious problem. You seem to not even be able to start your computer, from the sound of your question. If that's true are you using that computer right now? If so, try going to your start button, then where it says run try typing chkdsk . This is short for "check disc" I don't know if that will fix it, but it won't hurt it. On older computers it used to be type the letters scandisc . If you can, maybe you can get fixes to windows using Windows Update. If you remember, did you delete or change a setting? Computers do so much, that's why many of us forgot exactly what we do to mess them up, and why we opt to completly erase and hit System Recovery. Good luck.

Where can I find a Geometry book (Teacher's Edition) by Ray C. Jurgensen, by Mcdougal Littell?

I can never find one, please give me a link so i can buy one with a credit card

Where can I find a Geometry book (Teacher's Edition) by Ray C. Jurgensen, by Mcdougal Littell?
Lompoc High School, Lompoc, CA, used to use it for the honors geometry course. The district might still have some in the book warehouse, or one of the high schools might have a copy in the math department library they'd be willing to part with. Contact John Zemanovic at Lompoc High or Sue Pettis at Cabrillo High, addresses at the link: http://www.sbceo.k12.ca.us/districts/lom...

What edition are you looking for? There are various out there, but even I don't believe the price:

I'd like to find sewing patterns for historical clothing for a 12-inch male doll, esp. a 19th c frock coat.

I want to recreate the coat Willy Wonka wears in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", the Time Burton version, but any patterns that would dress a male doll in historical clothing would be wonderful.

Thank you for your assistance!

I'd like to find sewing patterns for historical clothing for a 12-inch male doll, esp. a 19th c frock coat.
Famous Couples Fashion Doll Patterns: 20 Patterns (Paperback) by Hazel McMahon. These are "fashion doll" patterns which I'm assuming are about 12 inches.

http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksea...

These patterns may include the frock coat you want to do. I do not know what the patterns look like but one of these may fit the description: Mr. D’Arcy %26amp; Miss Elizabeth Bennet; Young Queen Victoria and her Prince Albert; an Edwardian couple; or possibly Edward VIII %26amp; Mrs. Simpson

This book can be found at the big book stores like Barnes and Noble so you can check out the patterns before you purchase it.

Take it to a shop to get recharged. The over the counter kits do not do everything that is required. yes they add the refridgerant but air needs to be removed from the system for the a/c to work properly. They call the over the counter kits death sentences because they are dangerous to use because they dont fully do what a shop will do for you.
Reply:low side is the larger of the 2 lines
Reply:Katie it is located on the left side of where your engine compartment is and it is that bulbous shaped object in the back the port is nearby on there where the xpansion valve is at it should have a cap on it that is the lowside of the a/c system the highside is up in front where the condenser is,if not sure ask any a/c technician anytime.
Reply:Katie, On my 99 Grand Prix the low side service port is located on the firewall right smack in the middle just underneath the windshield above the engine. It has a black cap on it and is easily accesible.

Hope this helps
Reply:On my daughter's 2001 it is located on/near the driver side fender well , The hose connector will only fit the low side service port , and just use enough to get your air compressor running constantly and dont over fill it !

How far down would an archaeologist have to dig to find artifacts in Egypt, dating 3500 B.C.?

Actually, as an archaeologist who has actually dug in Egypt, I have to say that it isn't that simple. While it would be very nice if a certain amount of dirt equaled a certain amount of time, geological processes of deposition just aren't that simple. Sand, dirt, trash, whatever, accumulates at different rates depending on what kind of soil it is, what the weather and climate is like in an area, and how much human activity is going on in a given place.

For example, my most recent work was on a structure dating to the early New Kingdom, around 1500 BC - and in some places the top of the structure was visible on the surface and in others we had to dig down about half a meter. Conversely, in work I've done in the United States, I've had to dig down 3 meters to reach artifacts that were no more than 300-500 years old.

How far down would an archaeologist have to dig to find artifacts in Egypt, dating 3500 B.C.?
it would be futher than 500 feet down since that time is so early

How do you find the answer for h(t)=c-(d-4t)^2??

h(t)=c-(d-4t)^2~ At time t=0, a ball was throuwn upward from an initial height of 6 feet. Until the ball hit the ground, its height, in feet, after t seconds was given by the function h above, in which c and d are positive constants. If the ball reached its maximum height of 106 feet at time t=2.5, what was the height, in feet, of the ball at time t=1?

How do you find the answer for h(t)=c-(d-4t)^2??
70 feet
Reply:Since c and d are constants, you need to find their values first before you can find the height of the ball at t = 1. Start by plugging in what you know for t = 2.5.

106 = c - (d - 4(2.5))^2

106 = c - (d - 10)^2

106 = c - (d^2 - 10d + 100)

106 = c - d^2 +10d - 100

206 = c - d^2 + 10d

You know another pair of values for this equation. You know the initial height of the ball (6) at t = 0. Plug in those values and see what you get.

6 = c - (d - 4(0))^2

6 = c - d^2

c - d^2 was in the first equation solved above. Now that you know it's value is always 6 (since c and d are constants), you can substitute 6 for c - d^2.

206 = 6 + 10d

200 = 10d

20 = d

Now that you know the value of d, substitute it into the previous equation to find the value of c.

6 = c - d^2

6 = c - 20^2

6 = c - 400

406 = c

At this point, I like to double check that what I've done works. So, going back to the question of t - 2.5, I'm going to substitute c and d and solve. If I end up with a true statement, I know that I have the values of c and d correct.

206 = c - d^2 + 10d

206 = 406 - 20^2 + 10(20)

206 = 406 - 400 + 200

206 = 6 + 200

Yes! They are correct. Finally, we can get to answering the question. Replace c, d, and t in the question for t = 1 and solve.

h(1) = 406 - (20 - 4(1))^2

h(1) = 406 - (20 - 4) ^2

h(1) = 406 - 16^2

h(1) = 406 - 256

h(1) = 150

The height at t = 1 was 150 ft.

A balloon carries a charge of 8.36×10-7 C. How far away from it must you be in order to find an electric field

As Joe M already said: There is always an electrical field around such a charge distribution (your balloon!), however the

field strength decreases with distance via a square - law:

E = 1/(4 pi * e0) * q / r^2 ( its r^2, not just r!!!)

e0 = 8,85 * 10^(-12) Vs/Am is a constant

Unless your are not located away infinitely from the balloon you will always find an electric field, however a very weak one!

@David

What did I say else? Look a the formula and you will see I have stated it correctly!

A balloon carries a charge of 8.36×10-7 C. How far away from it must you be in order to find an electric field
I hate to disagree with a Masters Degree in Physics but the energy of the field decreases as an inverse square!
Reply:The formula for electric field is:

E=(k q)/r

k=the constants of the equation

q is the charge of the particle

r is the distance from the charged particle.

There is an electric field everywhere from a charge particle. It gets weaker the further away you go. But it is always there.

We have to find the rate of increase (decrease) in A)cost B)revenue C)profit?

Suppose that for a company manufacturing claculators, the cost, revenue %26amp; profit equations are given by C=90000+30x R=300x- (x²/30) %26amp; P=R-C where the production output in 1 week is x calculators. If production is increasing at a rate of 500 calculators per week, when production output is 6000 calculators, we have to try to find the rate of the cost, revenue and profit.

We have to find the rate of increase (decrease) in A)cost B)revenue C)profit?
To find rates of change you need to take the derivative with respect to x.

dC/dx = 30*dx = 30*500 = 15,000

dR/dx = 300dx - (2/30)xdx

= 300*500 - (2/30)*6000*500

= 150,000 - 400*500 = 150,000 - 200,000 = -50,000

dP/dx = dR/dx - dC/dx = -50,000 -15,000 = -65,000
