How do I find the equation of the line in the form ax+by+c=0?

The line is horizontal passing through (3, 3/2)

How do I find the equation of the line in the form ax+by+c=0?
Hi,

A horizontal line is of the form y = y coordinate of the point, so this line's equation is y = 3/2.

Putting that into ax + by + c = 0 form gives y - 3/2 = 0. Often this is not considered simplified unless fractions and decimals are removed, so multiply it by 2 to eliminate the fraction. The equation becomes:

2y - 3 = 0 %26lt;== ANSWER

I hope that helps!! -)
Reply:Horizontal means the slope is zero. Then the equation of line is y=3/2.

In the form of ax+by+c=0 it is y-3/2=0
