I suggest first getting a job within an event planning company so that you get some exposure to the industry and on-the-job experience. Nobody will hire an event planner without experience, so you'll have to gain that experience while working as an employee for another company. Once you've got some experience and can create a portfolio of events you've planned, then you can start looking for freelance work.





You should talk to the Career Center at the school where you completed the certificate- most programs like these offer assistance with job placement.
