I have a 1989 Lincoln Town Car Hearse that I'd like to customize. I am having difficulty finding out information about how to do so. I would also like to get an owner's manual since there was not one included with my purchase.

Ya that's the trouble with putting seats in the hearse, the deck you are talking about is a custom part of the frame.
An owners manual can be downloaded from ford.com and go to the owners section.
Now seats huh!......I would have to take a look. You might go by a body shop and ask for some expertise if they have taken one apart. The Hearse is made from a custom shop. you will find their logo somewhere on the vehicle. A little work and they may send you info on the assembly of the vehicle.

so many people get a hearse and the first thing they want to do is chop it up.
shame on you.
there are enough hearses out there for sale that have already been chopped, hacked, and modified.
as for the manual... try ebay. i've seen them there from time to time.
