Why do women find the work c*n* so derogatory?

Seriously? It's just a word!

Why do women find the work c*n* so derogatory?
If I called you one I bet you'd be offended.
Reply:It's not just a word, just like not all woman find it offensive / none offensive.

What idiot gave my response a bad rating? wtf moron!? o.O

________

Understand what I'm saying ppl. The OP's question is a generalization. Not all woman find it offensive. And there is no exact formula to why, but I it is generally a mixture of how it is said, the intent, and how that specific lady feels about that sorta thing.
Reply:I've never heard is used wisely, my dear. If I called you a d1ckhead, it's just a word - right? See what I mean? It might be just a word, but it has a rather nasty meaning, doesn't it?

There isn't any reason to use the Hard C. It's not just a word. It's slang, technically; and it's an insult.

Reply:Sometimes it's not the word itself. It's more about the context in which it is used. Even within your question it is given a negative connotation. So I guess this is one of those times when the answer is in the question.
Reply:Really? Most girls I know find snatch more offensive in reference to body parts. C*n* is used a lot in different contexts. I'm c*n*ed (drunk too quick), she's a c*n* (arrogant b*tch), he's a good c*n* (mate), dumb c*n* (politico), weepy c*n* (Christiano Ronaldo), etc...
Reply:Which word?

Can't or C*nt?

In the case of the first, I can do anything except impregnate another woman (doesn't mean I won't at least try first O.o). And ummm....a friend of mine uses the second word alot--what's the problem with it?
Reply:I just saw the movie P2. The female star took all kinds of abuse from a serial killer. But what set her off was him calling her a c*n*. She went off when he said that and she killed him!

Why did that of all things do the trick?
Reply:It's not meant as a compliment. It's the most vile thing a woman can be called. It's not "just a word." It's meant as an insult.
Reply:The way it is commonly used makes it a filthy word. Anyone call me that and I'm going to knock them on their butt and I'm 63 years old.
Reply:It is harsh. No respectable woman would use it or remain around a man who used it. Men that do say it are never being compimentary.
Reply:i am a woman and i dont see a problem with it. and i admit to using it when i get really fired up.
Reply:Im a man and I find it derogatory. Makes me think of those gross-out pictures of VD infected private areas that the show you in health class...ew.
Reply:It's probably how and when it's used rather than the word itself.
Reply:It's just as bad as the B word. I don't care how you use it, it's still derogatory.
Reply:Well I never knew a c*n* was work. But I suppose one may be very hard to get along with.
Reply:Words are like bullets, and bullets can be dodged.
Reply:Because that's how people use it.
Reply:yup, just like prick, pencil-dick, and dick-head - just words.
