I had a previous c-section and they will not induce me for fear of rupture I need to find out an effective way

to induce me. can any one help me with this. I am 38 weeks in a fews days. I guess my cervix is being very stubborn. if I have another operation they are going to limit me to three kids and I can't have them take away a gift of conceiveing from me when other have so much difficulty with doing so.

I had a previous c-section and they will not induce me for fear of rupture I need to find out an effective way
my mother suggested cumin tea boil some cumin in water and drink the tea she said it speeds thing up my sister took it when having her son she said she took it 1 hour before going to the hospital don't eat the cumin after you boil it just drink the tea you can add sugar for taste
Reply:I'm glad you know more about it than the doctors. Since you do, I'm puzzled as to why you're asking for help. Seems contradictory. Find another doctor. If you can't find a doctor who will honor your wishes, you should consider the remote possibility that you are wrong. I'm sure you'll behave the same way with your kids health - not listen to the doctors. Makes me think you'll be a great parent - not. Good luck. Glad humility is not part of your vocabulary. Greed is, apparently.
Reply:Why would you only be able to have 3 kids?? I have 4 and have had csections. I am pregnant with my 4th baby. That is very true about your uterus could rupture! It is very dangerous.

My mom told me to drink castrol oil, but I was afraid to crap my self so I did not do it! Good luck!
Reply:i had a c with my first and 4 years later gave birth naturally to my 2nd at home.

Buy this book: THE THINKING WOMAN'S GUIDE TO A BETTER BIRTH by Henci Goer. It takes you through statistics and hospital procedures and you find out that there is no statistical reason for not birthing naturally under certain circumstances (4 years between births, low transverse incision from c, double uterine suture and you must be under 35 years of age). But you cannot induce or you do risk uterine rupture.

At 8 months pregnant I decided to birth at home and I am grateful for every second of my 44 hour labor which ended with my son being born by candlelight and laid on my breast and never once removed from my arms.

Remember: a baby will be born on his birthday, not his due date! Your body knows more than any doctor's brain. Trust it and don't worry!

good luck and happy birthing!
Reply:Some doctors will induce you if you have had a csection. My doctor offered to induce me in a high risk maternity ward at a hospital in Nashville. (I turned him down only because I'd rather be shot then go through labor). I have had 2 csections. I would get a second opinion and weigh your options. Any csection is dangerous, the more you have the more so it gets...however if you get pregnant a 4th time...they have to deliver the baby somehow, they cant stop you. My friend had a rupture after trying a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarian) and almost died. I would weigh those risks seriously!
Reply:u meet a psychiatrist
Reply:They can't "limit" you, it's illegal. If they could do you think Britany Spears would be able to get pregnant, lol.
Reply:Walk, and have a lot of sex.
Reply:My first was an emergency cesarean, and my other 4 were V-BAC. You're the mom, it's your choice. I'd seek alternate opinions before giving in. Good luck!
Reply:You need to find a different DR or hospital (depending on which it is that is telling you that they won't induce and that you can only have 3 kids if you have c-sections). The chances of your uterus rupturing are very small. Here is a good website on VBACs. I would suggest you find a different DR or hospital even with as late as you are. Call around to other DRs and see what their opinions are. C-sections are considered a major surgery and are much riskier than vaginal births. Good luck!!
Reply:You can try nipple stimulation, walking, walking up and down stairs and washing the floor by hand (pelvic motion is what helps). You know that you can insist that the c-section be delayed until your actual due date right? In fact, many women who want a VBAC refuse a c-section period unless they are overdue or another medical problem arises. There is NO REQUIREMENT that you must go on a prearranged scheduled date.
Reply:You still have plenty of time girl! You could go another 4 weeks pregnant. Dilation has nothing to do with when labor will begin, so don't think if you're not dilated yet, you aren't going to go into labor. Some women dilate one day, and bam, the next day labor! Everyone is different. Stay relaxed and calm because tense muscles and stress will actually INHIBIT labor.

Here is a website with all the natural induction methods safe for you to try at home, but remember, they will only work if your body is ready, so don't be discouraged if nothing works for about 2-3 weeks.

Also... if there is no medical reason to have the baby on a certain date, tell the doc you want to wait it out! There is no 'rule' that says you have to go into labor on a certain day. They don't like you to go over 2 weeks overdue because of risks, but those risks are small and can be monitored (lack of amniotic fluid, old placenta, big baby), all can be monitored and kept in check. If these things are fine, then go longer! It's YOUR baby and YOUR body. Some women have gone 44 and 45 weeks pregnant and had spontaneous labors and healthy babies with no complications at all. Babies weren't overly big either.

Good Luck
